13 Homemade Easy-Bake Oven Recipes

My 8-year old loves cooking in her Easy-Bake, but we can't always afford to buy the mixes. We love using these recipes for homemade mixes.

Make Baked Goods for Less

I love my daughters' Easy-Bake Oven. We have so much fun hanging out and baking simple recipes. It's a great activity for both girls and boys, and it's fun for all ages. My 8-year old loves cooking in her Easy-Bake, but we can't afford to buy the mixes a lot of the time. I decided to look online for recipes I could make so the kids could play with it any time they wanted (with my assistance). You should never let the kids play with the Easy-Bake Oven without an adult present. I hope you enjoy the recipes I found.

Ingredients:

  • 6 teaspoons of butter
  • 3 teaspoons of sugar
  • 3 teaspoons of brown sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup of flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon of cream of tartar
  • 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven for 10 minutes.
  2. Mix all of the ingredients together until the mixture is a cookie dough consistency.
  3. Take a small spoon and spoon out your cookie dough.
  4. Make sure you butter the pan so the cookies don't stick.
  5. Cook the cookies for about 5 minutes. This mix will make 12 1" cookies.

2. Brownie Mix

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 4 teaspoon of chocolate syrup

Instructions

  1. Butter the pan so that the brownies won't stick to it.
  2. Mix together all the ingredients until there are no clumps.
  3. Pour the mix into the buttered pan and bake for about 10 minutes.

3. Easy-Bake Oven Cake Mix

Ingredients:

  • 6 teaspoons of flour
  • 4 teaspoons of sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoons of baking soda
  • 3/4 shortening
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 6 teaspoons of milk

Instructions

  1. Mix together all the ingredients besides the shortening and the milk.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients first. Then, add the shortening.
  3. Add the milk slowly until the consistency is smooth and creamy.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes

To make different cake flavors, add the desired flavor to the dry ingredients:

  • Chocolate cake: 1 teaspoon of cocoa
  • Lemon Cake: 1 teaspoon of lemon drink mix
  • Watermelon Cake: 1 teaspoon of watermelon drink mix
  • Strawberry Cake: 1 teaspoon of strawberry drink mix

4. Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of non-fat powdered milk
  • 6 tablespoons of creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Combine the powdered sugar and the powdered milk. Mix it really well.
  2. Add the peanut butter and mix the ingredients together until the frosting is creamy. Make sure you add the peanut butter slowly.

5. Barbie's Pretty Pink Cake

Ingredients:

  • 5 tablespoons of flour
  • 1/4 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon of salt
  • 5 teaspoons of red sugar crystals
  • 1/4 teaspoons of vanilla
  • 4 teaspoons of vegetable oil
  • 8 teaspoons of milk

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients together first.
  2. Mix well, then slowly add the liquid ingredients: the vanilla first, then the vegetable oil, and finally the milk mix.
  3. Grease the pan. Bake the cake for 15 minutes.
  4. The Barbie Pretty Pink Cake is a two-layer cake, so repeat the steps twice. Make sure you grease the pan!

6. Barbie's Pretty Pink Sparkling Frosting

Ingredients:

  • 4 teaspoons vegetable shortening
  • 2/3 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons of milk
  • Colored sugar crystals for decorations

Instructions

  1. Add the ingredients together, leaving out the sugar crystals for the decorations.
  2. Mix each ingredient one by one until the frosting becomes a cream.
  3. Add the frosting in between the two cake layers you baked in the recipe above and frost the outer layer as well.
  4. Sprinkle the sugar crystals on top.

7. Biscuits Mix

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup of homemade Bisquick
  • 4 teaspoons of milk
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1/8 teaspoon of garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon of parsley

Instructions

  1. Add the milk to the homemade Bisquick in a bowl.
  2. Fold the milk in with a fork.
  3. Grease the pan and add the biscuits to it.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes.
  5. Mix the butter, garlic, and parsley together. Brush it on top of the biscuits.

For cheesy biscuits, add the following items to the mix:

  • 2 tablespoons of shredded cheddar
  • 1 tablespoons Parmesan cheese

8. Cornbread

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of softened butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon of cornmeal
  • 2 tablespoons of milk

Instructions

  1. Separate the dry ingredients from the wet ingredients in two separate bowls.
  2. Mix them both, and then slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry.
  3. Mix while you add the wet ingredients.
  4. Bake this for 15 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 3 teaspoons of sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon of butter
  • 6 teaspoons of flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 4 teaspoons of milk
  • 12 to 15 chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients together.
  2. Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. The mix should be thick like cookie dough.
  3. Add the chocolate chips last.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes.

10. Chocolate Frosting

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of non-fat powdered milk
  • 1/2 cups of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 6 tablespoons of vegetable shortening

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients together until the mixture resembles crumbs. This mix will be good for more than one cake.
  2. Separate 1/3 of a cup of the mixture into a separate bowl.
  3. Add 3/4 teaspoons of water. Stir it all together until smooth.

11. Frosting

Ingredients:

  • 4 teaspoons of vegetable shortening
  • 2/3 cups of powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons of milk

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients together until it's nice and creamy.
  2. To add flavor to the frosting, add one teaspoon of any drink mix to add its flavor to the rest of the ingredients.

12. Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons of powdered milk
  • 3 tablespoons of cream cheese

Instructions

  1. Mix all of the ingredients together until the mix reaches a crumb consistency.
  2. Separate 1/3 cup of the mix into a bowl along with 3/4 teaspoons of water to the mixture.
  3. Mix until the frosting is creamy.

13. Deep Dish Pizza

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of margarine or butter
  • 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of mozzarella cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, baking soda, salt, and butter together until it forms a dough.
  2. Press the dough into the greased pan, spreading it all along the top.
  3. Spread the pizza sauce on the dough and sprinkle the cheese on top.
  4. Bake it for 20 minutes.

  • 2 tablespoons of chicken
